Creative Adventures in an Ancient Land
Mythical Beasts (5yrs+)
The Cairngorms is a place full of myths of legends. Inspired by artist James Prosek’s paintings in the Fife Arms, create your own mythical beasts from your imagination.
Willow Wildlife (7-12yrs)
Learn how to make some simple fish and birds from locally grown willow, working with skilled local artisans.
Gaelic Poetry (7-12yrs)
Did you know that Gaelic is the ancient language of Scotland? Using a few key Gaelic words, be inspired by their sound and meaning to create your own short poem, supported by a professional writer.
Woodland Story Walk
Learn all about the ancient myths and folklore associated with trees and plants growing in the Cairngorms with a local expert, and create bark-rubbing pictures and ‘story sticks’ along the walk.
