Following the recent government guidelines, from 3rd November 2020 we will now be closing The Clunie Dining Room to non-residents at 8pm, and residents at 10pm.
Resident and non-resident guests can consume alcohol in The Clunie Dining Room with their main meal up until 8pm.
After 8pm residents are welcome to stay in The Clunie Dining Room until 10pm, but we will not be able to serve alcohol.
We can only provide food and drinks when guests are seated at a table.
We are able to sell alcohol in our outdoor areas until 10:30pm. These include the front of the hotel and our courtyard. These areas will have comfortable covered seating with heaters and warming fires to make your experience as cosy as possible.
We advise all customers, resident or non-resident, to make a reservation in advance.
We welcome parties of up to 6 people from two households as per the Scottish legislation.
With menus created by Executive Chef Tim Kensett, The Clunie Dining Room showcases the art of wood-fire cooking.
The interior of the restaurant has been transformed by Argentinian artist, Guillermo Kuitca. The work, titled The Clunie River Mural, has been painted in his distinctive cubistoid style that masterfully reconciles abstraction with an illusionist form of figuration. Kuitca was in residence in Braemar for several weeks while he created this work especially for The Fife Arms and this work is his response to the hotel and its dramatic location in the heart of the Cairngorms.
Please note during the current climate that we are in, we are operating a single menu across both The Clunie Dining Room and The Flying Stag.
Daily: 7.30am – 10.30am
