An exciting new HANE (Hospitality Apprenticeships North East) apprenticeship opportunity for young people in the area looking to make hospitality their career of choice. You have a bright, enthusiastic and professional attitude and a willingness to learn.
Although there is no specific qualification requirement basic communication, literacy,numeracy and IT basic skills are required.
Apprentices must be under 25 years of age at start date.
Commis (Pastry) Chef
I will be responsible for supporting the imagining, creating and delivering of attractive and delicious desserts, pastries, cakes and breads in keeping with our luxury and inclusive brand with the guidance of the Head Pastry Chef.
I will play a key role in achieving the Company’s goal to create the best hotels in Scotland by offering our guests unique and exceptional experiences at every touchpoint. I will ensure that the Room Revenue and overall Revenue targets of the hotel are achieved and contribute with creative ideas and professional input to surpassing the targets sets by our budgets and performance standard measurement tools.
You will ensure quality food preparation and presentation, ensuring an unsurpassed dining experience every time. You will demonstrate a high level of commitment to standards, training, policies and procedures.
Chef de Partie
I will take responsibility for a section of the Kitchen ensuring the preparation and delivery of high-quality food to all F&B Operations including the bar/restaurant/room service/banqueting/cocktail bar/events catering/outside catering. This requires, working with the Executive Chef, Head Chef and Sous Chefs.
You will deliver all kitchen porter services to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and delivers an excellent guest service. You will do this by making sure everything is clean, tidy, safe and hygienic You will unload deliveries and organise the stores and assist with basic food preparation. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with delivery personnel.
You are responsible for providing a warm, friendly and relaxed experience for all, whether hotel residents, local community members, parties or visiting tourists. You will be passionate about food and drink, have excellent customer relationship and sales.
You will be able to demonstrate high standards of customer care and effective treatments ensuring the guest experience from booking to departure is welcoming, nurturing and comfortable. You will demonstrate knowledge and experience of spa services, sale of products as well as hands on delivery of treatments. You will be willing to learn and develop in the role.
You will work independently, cleaning the guest rooms and public areas whilst applying the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and comfort. This role is on a full-time or part-time and flexible hours basis with potential to work in balance with your personal and family life. You will be personable, hard-working and committed to exceptional customer service.
