Our talented Executive Chef Tim Kensett , formerly of River Café, is developing a creative and passionate team who are open to new styles of cooking including wood fire.
As Head Chef you will ensure the consistent preparation of innovative and creative cuisine of the highest standard of quality, presentation and flavour, resulting in outstanding guest satisfaction in all areas of the hotel operations. These include The Flying Stag pub, The Clunie Dining Room, breakfast for the hotel guests, private events in The Fog House, Fire Room, Brae Room, Room Service, Afternoon Tea in The Drawing Room and any outside catering event such as Braemar Gathering or picnics at the Lunch Hut.
The Head Chef must operate within the guidelines and philosophy outlined by the Executive Chef and aim to lead the entire kitchen brigade to success through creating a positive working environment and leading by example at all times.
The Fife Arms is less than six months old and already on the global stage. Individuals who join us now will become part of a global team who are embarking on a journey to make their own mark in the world of cooking.
Our ethos is of cooking with open flame, butcher from “nose to tail” and utilising the best ingredients from our estate, and Scotland’s abundant land and sea larder. You will be responsible for the day to day running of our state of the art kitchen. A highly skilled Chef looking to move up, who cares passionately about food, you will also be willing to learn and adapt to different ways of cooking.
Reporting to the General Manager, and partnering with the Leadership Team, you will be accountable for leading all aspects of the Fife Arms and InvercauldArms Hotels (both Braemar) financial management and accounting requirements. You will provide regular management accounts, reports and guidance, whilst being creative in identifying ways of driving revenue and controlling costs. You will lead a small team and functionally report to the Chief Financial Officer in London.
A skilled people leader, you will be highly competent in training and developing a team. You will excel in stakeholder management and will ideally be competent in your role in a luxury hospitality environment. Homeworking is actively encouraged so potentially this could be a 3 day / 2 day split. You will be willing to either travel to or relocate to Braemar.
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Operations Manager, you will be responsible for consistently provide a high quality guest experience to our discerning and sophisticated guests. You will partner with the Chef Team and Restaurant Teams to ensure seamless delivery at every touch point.
You will be a skilled Sommelier or are developing in this role and will be highly competent in delivering a consistent quality guest experience. You will have excellent interpersonal, organisational, IT and problem-solving skills. Willing to either travel to or relocate to Braemar, you will creative, passionate, inspired by our story and ambitious to grow within the company.
Front of House Manager
Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, you will lead the Reception, Ghillie and Porter Teams to ensure consistent high quality guest experience and maximise opportunities for upselling.
A skilled people leader and competent in Reservations and Revenue Management, you will be a highly competent hospitality leader knowing that it is all about how we make people feel. You will be willing to relocate – knowing that other global opportunities will be presented down the line and are passionate, adventurous, courageous and inspired by our story.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day housekeeping of all guest rooms, public areas and back of house areas. Supervising a team of Housekeepers, you will assist in ensuring high standards of cleanliness in all areas. You have strong organisational skills, a natural flair for hospitality and a strong eye for detail.
Food & Beverage Team Leader
Our Team Leaders are critical to ensuring a consistent and quality experience to our guests by ensuring that you lead, develop and coach your team. You will inspire by personal example, demonstrating our values and striving to achieve our goals. You will ideally be experienced in first class service , but more importantly you will be a positive role model and a skilled first line manager.
HR Business Partner
Reporting to the General Manager, and partnering with the Leadership Team, you will be accountable for leading all aspects of The Fife Arms and The Invercauld Arms hotels people matters. You will lead a small team and liaise directly with the Head of HR, based in Braemar.
Ideally you will be competent in your role in a luxury hospitality environment and highly competent in delivering a consistent quality experience to the Leadership Team. Excelling in stakeholder management and a skilled generalist and people leader, you will be highly competent in Learning and Development. Ambitious to grow with the right Company, you will be willing to either travel to or relocate to Braemar. Homeworking is actively encouraged so potentially this could be a 3 day / 2 day split.
Chef de Partie
You will have a passion for creating, developing, and maintaining an inspiring recipe book using the very best of local and national natural resources and ingredients. This is an opportunity to be part of a unique Hotel , working with an inspiring team and to embark upon your next life adventure. Ideally, you will have experience working in the luxury market and, more importantly, a willingness to be inspired and learn. Being a team player is a must.
You will deliver all kitchen porter services to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and delivers an excellent guest service. You will do this by making sure everything is clean, tidy, safe and hygienic You will unload deliveries and organise the stores and assist with basic food preparation. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with delivery personnel.
You are responsible for providing a warm, friendly and relaxed experience for all, whether hotel residents, local community members, parties or visiting tourists. You will be passionate about food and drink, have excellent customer relationship and sales.
You are a Spa Therapist, who may be newly qualified, and able to demonstrate high standards of customer care and effective treatments ensuring the guest experience from booking to departure is welcoming, nurturing and comfortable. You will demonstrate knowledge and experience of spa services, sale of products as well as hands on delivery of treatments. You will be willing to learn and develop in the role. You will work independently, cleaning the guest rooms and public areas whilst applying the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and comfort. This role is on a full-time or part-time and flexible hours basis with potential to work in balance with your personal and family life. You will be personable, hard-working and committed to exceptional customer service.
