As the lochs begin to freeze and a sprinkling of snow settles upon the mountains of the Cairngorms, we are reminded that the end of the year and its glorious festivities are drawing ever nearer.
For the remainder of the year enjoy a series of joyful activities from roasting chestnuts over fire to indulging in a mouth-watering fondue in our Fog House. Sing carols around the piano or make yuletide lanterns, enjoy candlelit concerts or browse artisanal treasures in our shop.
November
24th – Community Christmas Light Switch On: Join is for the switch-on of the Fife Arms exterior festive lights and the Braemar community Christmas tree. Enjoy warming mulled wine, mince pies and our local choir.
30th – St Andrew’s Day: St. Andrew’s night heralds the traditional beginning of Scotland’s Winter festival season, a time for friends, food, drink and celebration of the very best of Scottish culture. Find out more here.

1st – Lantern Making workshop Braemar Primary School – A Community-focused project working with local children to create a lantern parade to accompany the Reindeer Parade on Christmas Eve.
3rd – Candlelit classical recital – 6.30pm- 7.45pm: Fife Arms Drawing RoomFrom James Halsey (cello) and Brian Schiele (violin)
5th – Lantern Making workshop with Local Cubs & Scouts Group – A Community-focused project working with local children to create a lantern parade to accompany the Reindeer Parade on Christmas Eve.
7th – Carols around the Piano – 6pm-6.30pm: Fife Arms Lobby Braemar Community choir will perform around the Mark Bradford piano every Thursday night throughout December.
