Fondue at the Fife Arms is a celebrated tradition which arrived via our Swiss owners Iwan and Manuela Wirth. Whilst enjoying winters in Scotland, Iwan and Manuela began making their own fondue at home to share with loved ones. The opening of the hotel provided an opportunity to share this magical experience with both guests and neighbours in the village, beginning our tradition of opening a Fondue Hut each winter.
The Fog House, with wood panelling and a cosy fireplace, naturally lends itself as the backdrop to a traditional Swiss fondue hut. Dive your fondue fork into a steaming Swiss cheese mix made from Emmental and Gruyère cheese, roasted garlic, white wine and kirsch. Alternatively, fittingly for a hut in the heart of the Highlands, you can go Scottish, with a delicious combination of Isle of Mull Cheddar, Tain Minger and Anster cheese, roasted garlic, nutmeg and Cairngorm stag ale.
