Join regional archivist Katy Kavanagh to explore the history of The Fife Arms using materials from Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Archives and other local heritage collections. Beginning with the hotel’s origins as a coaching inn and post house, we will trace the history through the 19th and 20th centuries up to its recent transformation into a unique, first-class hotel.

The talk will also take in the related history of the village of Braemar and the development of Deeside as a popular tourist destination.
