Award-winning writer and song lyricist Simon Armitage marked the mid-point of his Poet Laureateship in conversation with Nick Barley, Director of the emerging National Poetry Centre in Leeds.
Also known for his BBC Radio 4 series, The Poet Laureate has Gone to his Shed, and his best-selling non-fiction, Simon discussed his wide-ranging literary career and key projects as Laureate. This unique occasion included the opportunity for the audience to ask questions and hear Simon read from his latest poetry collection, Blossomise, a collaboration with the National Trust, and Never Good With Horses, his recent publication of lyrics.
