The River Dee Trust
What do the River Dee Trust do?
The River Dee Trust is a community-based charity established in 1998 to:
◦ To improve knowledge of the ecology of the River Dee so that practical improvements and restoration of the River and the wildlife it supports can be achieved. This includes the endangered Atlantic salmon, otter and freshwater pearl mussel – indicators of the health of our rivers and oceans.
◦ To deliver educational information to schools, organisations and individuals living in the North East of Scotland.
FIND OUT MOREHow are the Fife Arms involved?
The Fife Arms have been supporting the trust since 2023 and in January 2025 officially became River Dee Guardians demonstrating our commitment to support their work. As a River Dee Guardian we are enabling tangible conservation work right here in the North East of Scotland.
Guests and visitors to the Fife Arms can support this important cause when dining with us by choosing to donate £1 to their bill, helping to protect the River Dee for future generations.
Together, we can make a difference and preserve the health and vitality of one of Scotland’s most iconic rivers.
