The Fire Room

About The Space

Guests of the Fire Room will be sat underneath the incredible ‘Untitled’ chandelier by Subodh Gupta, assembled with numerous glimmering mass-produced pans, pots and pails, embellished with colourful bulbs. The Fire Room gets it name from the traditional 18th century Japanese technique of Shou-Sugi-Ban, whereby the wood is burned to preserve it, leaving a black, charred finish.

This private dining room can seat up to 12 guests next to an impressive fireplace, or 14 guests for an intimate ceremony.

The Clunie Dining Room can host a banquet dinner of up to 100 guests when the hotel is hired exclusively.
