Imagine a private picnic at an award-winning lunch hut nestled within a stunning nearby estate, or an adventurous luxury 4×4 tour through the breathtaking Highlands, complete with a bespoke whisky tasting amidst the rugged beauty. The Fog House
Our Fog House, which looks out onto our internal courtyard, takes inspiration from the traditional fog house or ‘summer house’ popular throughout Scotland. They are often clad in wood and have a moss or heather covered roof. Our courtyard is supported by tree trunk columns, as a nod to the traditional fog house support structure. At the centre of the room is our antler chandelier created with Braemar local Gareth Guy and uses over 500 naturally cast stag antlers.
Fire Room
For a more intimate celebration our cosy Fire Room sets the perfect stage for everything from elegant birthday dinners to romantic weddings. Guests will be sat underneath the incredible ‘Untitled’ chandelier by Subodh Gupta, assembled with numerous glimmering mass-produced pans, pots and pails, embellished with colourful bulbs. The Fire Room gets it name from the traditional 18th century Japanese technique of Shou-Sugi-Ban, whereby the wood is burned to preserve it, leaving a black, charred finish.
Whisky library
Step into Bertie’s, our intimate whisky bar, where over 400 exceptional whiskies await discovery, making it the ideal addition to elevate any event. Enveloped in a dark and moody ambiance, with a crackling fireplace setting the scene, Bertie’s invites you to indulge in a truly immersive experience. Whether you’re a whisky connoisseur or a curious newcomer, our expert team will guide you through the perfect drams to suit every palate. For a truly unforgettable experience, let our whisky experts host a private tasting paired with a luxury picnic, set against the breathtaking Highland landscape.
The Jewel Box
Step into Elsa’s, our dazzling jewel box of a bar, where Art Deco glamour meets the wild beauty of the Highlands. Inspired by the iconic fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli, known for her bold style, love of shocking pink, and witty elegance, this bar exudes sophistication and flair. Elsa’s offers an array of unique, hand-crafted cocktails that are as artfully presented as they are delicious making it the perfect addition to any event looking to add a touch of glamour and style to cocktail hour.
