Giles Deacon’s Munro Muse

High Fashion Flair

In 2023, the Fife Arms revealed the hotel’s first collaboration with Giles Deacon – the Munro capsule collection, launched to mark the occasion of the inaugural Festival of Fashion.

Deacon is an acclaimed British couture designer who trained at London’s prestigious Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, and his pieces can be seen in the V&A Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Deacon took the bespoke Fife Arms house tweed and tartan, designed by leading Scottish textile artist Araminta Campbell, and created exclusive pieces that combine the romance of the Highlands with high-fashion flair.

Crafting the Collection

The Munro capsule collection is produced by a small team of skilled artisans in London. Deacon is known for his expertly crafted pieces using custom-designed fabrics, prints and intricate embellishments. His pieces are worn and collected worldwide by private clients and celebrities, from Nicole Kidman to Billy Porter and royalty.

A frequent visitor to the Fife Arms, Deacon seized the chance to design this collection for the hotel. The resulting collaboration sees tradition meet cutting-edge design and exceptional craftsmanship – a combination in keeping with the very ethos of the Fife Arms itself.
