The Hunt for the Dark Sky

Enjoy an evening out under the stars with a certified astronomer. The Cairngorms National Park is recognised as one of the best places in the world to stargaze and holds the prestigious status of ‘International Dark Sky Park’ whilst being the most northerly park of its kind. With low light pollution, incredible vantage points and vast horizons, it’s the perfect place (weather permitting), to witness the Aurora Borealis.

October-March are the best times for a dark sky, with the 10 day period beginning one week after full moon.
