Experience a Summer of Music at the Fife Arms
Throughout July and August, the Fife Arms invites you to enjoy a spectacular Summer of Music. Nestled in the heart of Braemar, our historic hotel is the perfect setting for an unforgettable musical journey, offering a diverse lineup of performances every week.
Wednesdays – Folk
Enjoy the spirit of traditional folk music on Wednesdays in The Flying Stag where our talented folk musicians include fiddler Paul Anderson with Ian Murray and Alastair MacDougall, who will enchant you with their storytelling and melodic tunes, capturing the essence of local culture.
Thursdays – Classical Strings
Immerse yourself in the timeless elegance of classical music. Our classical strings evenings in the Drawing Room feature performances by violinists Steve Bingham & Russell Kostulin and harpist Ciorstaidh Beaton, each transporting you to a world of refined beauty and sophistication.
Fridays – Folk
Feel the warmth of traditional folk music on Fridays in The Flying Stag where folk musicians include talented duo, Ceol Na Mara and singer-songwriter Gill Halliday. They bring to life the rich, vibrant genre that reflects the history, landscape and heritage of Scotland.
Saturdays – Piano
Saturday nights in the Lobby are dedicated to the captivating sound of the piano with ‘musician of the hills’, Alexander Chapman Campbell. His music, often inspired by his love of the natural world, has mystified those trying to place it into a genre.
Sundays – Jazz
End your weekend on a high note with our Jazz Sundays which will be taking place at our Osteria da Fife Italian dining pop-up in the Fog House & Courtyard. Musicians Matthew Kilner (saxophone) and Neil Birse (keyboards) bring upbeat swing to mellow blues to our jazz evenings, offering something for every music lover, making your Sunday nights truly special.
So, whether you’re a classical aficionado, a folk enthusiast, a piano lover, or a jazz connoisseur, our Summer of Music has something to captivate your heart and soul
