2026 Festival of Fashion Programme

This year’s line-up includes Kirsty Wark in conversation with Mulberry’s Christopher and Tammy Kane; insights into the iconic Burberry Trench with archivist Carly Eck and V&A Senior Curator of Fashion and Textiles Oriole Cullen, and designer Edeline Lee in conversation with Editor in Chief of Harper’s Bazaar, Lydia Slater. Explore the interplay of fashion, music and culture with Nicholas Daley and V&A Director Leonie Bell and delve into British history in Fashioning the Crown with Justine Picardie.

Learn more about How Scotland Dressed The World with Lynne Coleman and Avril Mair, the power of textiles with Fashion Roundtable founder Tamara Cincik and textile artist and writer Clare Hunter, and a fascinating talk chaired by V&A Dundee curator Kirsty Hassard on the V&A Dundee exhibition Catwalk: The Art of the Fashion Show, who is joined by renowned makeup artist, Val Garland; legendary hairstylist, Sam McKnight MBE; Fashion Director of The Times, Anna Murphy, and model and ambassador for the V&A exhibition, Lucia Fairfull.

Parking is limited in Braemar. Leave yourself enough time to arrive and find a space before the start time of your chosen event.

Parking can be found:
– Behind the Mews shops and square
– Outside the Mews Bar
– The Braemar Highland Games Centre
– Balnellan Road Car Park
– Near the Invercauld Arms

As well as on street parking around the village.

We kindly ask that you park respectfully, mindful of private driveways and hidden openings.

– Aberdeen 1hr 30 mins approx
– Edinburgh 2 hours approx
There are no public links between the airports and Braemar, however car hire services are available are both.

Nearest Train Staiton:

Union Square, Aberdeen to Braemar Stagecoach
Via Banchory and Ballater

Timetable
There are a number of wonderful places to stay nearby ideal solo travellers, family groups or couples across a range of budgets and tastes.

Braemar and Royal Deeside is a very popular tourist destination. We would recommend booking as far in advance as possible to avoid disappointment.
