Braemar Gathering

The historic Braemar Gathering returns, a spectacular event which has been taking place in Braemar, in its present form, since 1832.

Competitions include Tug o war, Solo piping, the Kilted Heavies (which include the Hammer Throw, Putting the Stone and Tossing the Caber), track events, Highland dancing and the famous Gathering Hill Race that sees runners climb 1200 feet up to the five cairns visible from the park.

The Fife Club, a private tent and seating area with excellent views of the action, is available to hotel guests with an open bar throughout the day. Presented in partnership with The Glenrothes.
