Set within the majestic Cairngorms National Park, experience the most magical Christmas with us
Tuesday 24th – Friday 27th December
Inspired by the traditions of a Victorian Christmas, The Fife Arms invites you to enjoy this special holiday within its beautiful rooms and grounds, all of which have been sumptuously decorated with foraged plants and festive decorations.
On Christmas Eve there will be bauble making and gingerbread decorating, offering younger guests the chance to hand make very special presents. Following that, we will lead guests into the woods for stories by the fire with roasted chestnuts. To warm up afterwards, The Flying Stag will serve mince pies and mulled wine whilst traditional Christmas carols are performed by the local choir.
On Christmas Day, a full Scottish breakfast with champagne will be served in The Clunie Dining Room, with its dramatic mural by Argentinian artist Guillermo Kuitca and breathtaking views of the Scottish Highlands. The drawing room with its roaring fire provides the perfect place to enjoy the quieter part of the day before a four-course Christmas lunch is served, view menu here, accompanied by Scottish music played by Graeme Mackintosh. After lunch, a treasure hunt will explore the hotel’s corners and corridors to discover what treats Father Christmas has left for guests.
On Boxing Day the festivities continue after breakfast, where you can cosy up in our Brae Room for a screening of the family classic ‘The Muppet Christmas Carol’ or venture outside for a bracing walk up the Creag Choinnich from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the River Dee and the Cairngorms. A Highland Feast lunch will be served in The Cluine Dining Room and that evening The Flying Stag will play host to a traditional fiddler performance.
