This Christmas we’re celebrating the 24 days of advent with a special activity each day for you to enjoy wherever you are in the world.
Satiate your appetite for indulgent sweet treats with day 18 of The Fife Arms Festive Advent Calendar – a whisky chocolate truffle recipe to try your hand at, courtesy of our head chef, Marcus Sherry.
– 500g dark chocolate
– 250g double cream
– 100ml Royal Lochnagar whisky
– 250g unsalted butter
– 50g cocoa powder
Step one: In a sauce pan, bring the double cream up to the boil, then whisk the cream into the chocolate.
Step two: Once the double cream and chocolate have been combined, whisk in the whisky and butter.
Step three: Place the mixture into the fridge to firm for about an hour.
Step four: Roll the mix into 2cm balls and dust in cocoa powder.
Step five: Store in the fridge until ready to serve.
